Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Teacher in the Three's Class, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity, foster development, and create a joyful learning environment. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to preschoolers' needs, and collaborate closely with families to support each child's growth. Your expertise in early childhood education and child development will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and early intervention strategies. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques that encourage cooperation and independence. Utilize curriculum development best practices, including Montessori methods when applicable, to create engaging activities that stimulate curiosity and learning. Monitor and assess each child's progress through observations, standardized testing where appropriate, and ongoing child welfare assessments. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share insights on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment equipped for toddler care and preschool activities while adhering to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certification. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques tailored for young learners. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention practices, and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; or complete the provided training Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, standardized testing procedures, and child welfare policies.
