Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification with a 461 endorsement Certified to serve Comprehensive and Mild/Moderate or Intervention caseloads Experience developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Understanding of differentiated instruction and effective behavioral strategies Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized lessons meeting students' unique learning needs Assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff Engage with families to ensure clear communication and promote student success Maintain thorough and accurate records and reports regarding student performance Support a positive learning atmosphere and promote student independence This contract role allows you to focus on what you do best—empowering students while gaining valuable experience in a supportive school community for the entire academic year.
