$55,000 per year About the Position Wayne Halfway House, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher to provide high-quality instruction to students at Aspen Youth Academy . The Teacher will be responsible for delivering curriculum, maintaining educational standards, and ensuring compliance with all State and Federal requirements set forth by the Department of Education.
Licensure / Eligibility
This position must be filled by either: A currently certified teacher; or An individual who holds a Bachelor's degree and is willing to work toward certification with the assistance of Wayne Halfway House, Inc. If appropriately licensed candidates are not available, the position may be filled through a teacher permit or an alternative licensure pathway , in accordance with applicable state guidelines. Primary Responsibilities Teach all classes as directed by the Principal. Prepare and plan for all classes. Maintain accurate grade records and grade books. Maintain appropriate classroom discipline. Demonstrate cultural competence, awareness, and sensitivity. Participate in the PQI Program as requested. Serve as a Staff Development Supervisor if assigned. Follow all applicable policies and procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc. Submit student points information to the appropriate staff. Report grades to the Principal and post on the network at the end of each 6-week grading period. Participate in in-service training. Assist with material and library purchases when requested. Oversee library sign-out sheets and participate in the Library Program. Provide student records to prior schools or public schools when requested. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Valid teaching license preferred or eligibility for a teacher permit/alternative licensure pathway.
NO FELONY CONVICTIONS.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
