Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to join our educational team, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for young children with diverse needs. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, implementing individualized support strategies, and collaborating closely with families and professionals to promote optimal developmental outcomes. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones, including literacy, math, communication skills, and social-emotional learning. Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with neurodevelopmental disorders. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies tailored for students with special needs. Collaborate regularly with speech therapists, occupational therapists, behavior specialists, and other professionals to support individualized education programs (IEPs) and ensure cohesive student support. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress, prepare detailed documentation for IEP meetings, and modify instructional modifications as needed. Foster strong communication channels with parents and guardians through regular updates, conferences, and collaborative planning to support each child's growth. Integrate educational technology tools effectively into daily lessons to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or elementary school classrooms, especially those with disabilities or developmental delays. Demonstrated expertise in special education practices such as curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and instructional modifications. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders support strategies, speech therapy techniques, and behavioral health principles. Strong understanding of child development theories, early intervention methods, and childhood education standards. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Experience working within private school environments or Montessori settings is a plus. Certification or training in behavioral therapy, speech therapy support techniques, or related fields is desirable.
