Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher serving students across elementary, intermediate, and secondary levels near Rockwall, TX. This contract position begins on 10/19 and extends through the end of the academic year, providing a chance to make an impact and build lasting connections in a supportive community. Your workdays vary in schedule by grade level, typically running from 7:30 AM to 3:50 PM, with teachers arriving 30 minutes before students. You'll work a 40-hour week and handle caseloads appropriate to your area—self-contained/life skills/SLC classes average 8-14 students with two paraprofessionals, while those in resource/inclusion settings serve groups of approximately 20-30.
