What Youll Contribute:
Expertise in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) instructional strategies Valid teaching credentials or certification specific to DHH Familiarity with individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum for deaf and hard of hearing students Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff Excellent communication skills in both spoken and sign language modalities Prior experience in an educational setting with DHH students strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Assess student needs and design instructional approaches to maximize learning and communication Provide direct and consultative support to students across multiple districts, ensuring consistency and quality of services Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual student abilities and needs Work collaboratively with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff Serve as a resource for schools and families, advocating for accessibility and inclusion Encourage student self-advocacy and foster social-emotional growth
