Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity shaping the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting near Burlington, VT. Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification) Experience working in a school-based environment with students requiring individualized support Strong understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families Adaptability and patience in meeting students at their level to foster academic and personal growth
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to adapt curriculum and lessons for diverse learners Deliver targeted instruction in individual or small-group settings, ensuring every student receives appropriate support Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages social and emotional development alongside academic progress Utilize evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to help students meet their goals
