Job Description

Step into a meaningful full-time, school-year opportunity supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a nearby district. As part of a dedicated educational community, you'll provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with hearing differences, ensuring they thrive academically and socially.
Key Requirements:
Active Washington teaching license specific to Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Previous experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a school environment preferred Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt instructional approaches for diverse learners
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, using methods and materials catered to their individual needs Assess student progress and maintain accurate educational records Contribute to the development and monitoring of IEP goals, collaborating with other service providers and educators Serve as an advocate for students, assisting with classroom inclusion and providing resources as needed Engage with families and staff, offering expertise and guidance for accessible learning opportunities Participate in school meetings and professional development activities This position features a manageable caseload, allowing for meaningful connections with your students and opportunities to see their growth firsthand. Specific caseload details will be discussed as they become available.
