Job Summary Located just 20 miles south of Fond du Lac, Lomira School District is nestled in the quiet town of Lomira. As apart of the School District of Lomira, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and educational space where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will foster a love for learning while supporting each child's unique developmental journey. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth in line with early childhood education standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies. Conduct classroom activities that support childhood development milestones, including toddler care, preschool teaching, and special education needs. Use classroom management techniques to maintain an organized, safe space conducive to learning and play. Assess children's progress regularly through observations and standardized testing; adapt lesson plans accordingly to meet individual needs. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to communicate children's progress and address any behavioral or developmental concerns in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Incorporate Montessori or other specialized educational approaches when appropriate to enhance learning experiences. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management best practices. Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math, or specialized programs such as special education or Montessori methods is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to adhere to childcare regulations, mandated reporting laws, and health & safety standards.
