9681621-54956 Job Description Step into a rewarding educational environment as a Special Education Teacher for a K-6th grade caseload focused on supporting students with intellectual disabilities and autism. Nestled near Neenah, WI, this full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact in the lives of eight amazing students. With a dedicated team approach, you'll work alongside two paraprofessionals in a primarily self-contained classroom, creating a structured yet dynamic setting where every child has opportunities to grow. Your expertise will help these learners flourish not only within their self-contained classroom but also as they participate in adaptive art, music, and physical education, in addition to joining their peers for select science and social studies activities. The role runs full school days, 40 hours per week (7:40 am - 3:40 pm), beginning as soon as possible and extending through the end of the school year.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility in Wisconsin) Experience or genuine enthusiasm for working with students diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and/or autism Classroom management skills, fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning to meet diverse student needs Excellent communication with students, colleagues, and families

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student Provide engaging, differentiated instruction both in self-contained and integrated settings Support and guide paraprofessionals in classroom routines and student support Track and report on student progress, maintaining thorough documentation Promote a safe, nurturing atmosphere where every student feels valued and capable Use your passion and skills to inspire young learners and help them achieve their goals.
