9681621-54901 Job Description Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting students with intellectual disabilities and autism in an engaging elementary school environment. This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to work with a manageable K-6th grade caseload of 8 students, supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom for enhanced collaboration and student success. Your role will be instrumental in fostering growth, independence, and achievement for young learners. Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Demonstrated experience working with elementary students facing intellectual disabilities and/or autism Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to develop and implement personalized IEPs to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication for collaborating with paras, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction to a small group of students in grades K-6, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning goals Collaborate with two paraprofessionals to maximize student engagement and progress Create and maintain a supportive, structured classroom environment promoting academic, social, and personal growth Track student performance, adjust instruction as needed, and complete required documentation Communicate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary team members to ensure students thrive This position provides the satisfaction of seeing each student succeed in a nurturing atmosphere with strong classroom support.
