Job Description

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid state certification/license in Special Education Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs Collaborative mindset—comfortable working with general education teachers, support staff, and families Passion for fostering growth and celebrating each student's unique strengths

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and adapt lesson plans to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities Deliver direct instruction in individual, small group, or classroom settings Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed for optimal learning outcomes Develop, update, and implement IEPs in consultation with multidisciplinary teams Maintain thorough and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal laws Communicate regularly with parents and educational staff to support student progress Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
