9654057-54876 Job Description Step into a highly rewarding opportunity supporting high school students with diverse learning needs in a contract position for the upcoming
NSY 26/27
school year. In this role, youll work with a small and manageable caseload of approximately 7 students, focusing primarily on academic growth and assisting with some mild self-regulation skills. The environment is collaborative, and youll contribute meaningfully to each students unique educational journey.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility for certification Experience or coursework working with high school students in cross-categorical settings Strong understanding of academic instruction, individualized education plans (IEPs), and differentiated teaching strategies Excellent communication and documentation skills Positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to student success
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction to high school students with varying needs, primarily in academic subjects Address mild behavioral and self-regulation needs using proactive and supportive strategies Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with related service providers and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, providing regular updates Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth Communicate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, offering 37.5 hours per week within a dedicated and professional educational community.
