Start Date:
August 17, 2026 Position Overview Marathon County Special Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide itinerant or site-based support for students across our consortium. You will work as a vital member of the IEP team, providing specialized instruction in auditory training, speech perception, and self-advocacy to help students excel academically and socially.
Qualifications Licensure:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Wisconsin DPI License #1805 (Deaf or Hard of Hearing) .
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Skills:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of language acquisition and specialized methods for teaching DHH pupils.
