In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Your expertise will help create an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring compliance with special education law and educational standards. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, instructional modifications, and educational technology integration to enhance learning outcomes. Manage classroom behavior effectively using evidence-based behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to promote positive conduct. Collaborate closely with other professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and parents to support comprehensive student development. Adapt teaching methods for students with disabilities, including those with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, ensuring accessibility and inclusion. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, early intervention, literacy education, math instruction, and special education law. Skills Proven experience working with children with disabilities in elementary or preschool settings; familiarity with Montessori or preschool methods is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and documentation of student progress. Expertise in classroom management techniques tailored for students with behavioral health needs and neurodevelopmental disorders. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and literacy education strategies. Knowledge of IEP processes, instructional modifications, and accommodations for students with special needs. Ability to utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences for diverse learners. Experience working within private schools or early childhood education environments is advantageous.
