Provides a comprehensive early intervention program for children ages 2 ½ through five including coordination, development, and implementation of the Individual Educational Plan/Individual Family Service Plan (IEP/IFSP) process, screening assessment, intervention, and case management in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Identifies, assess, and determines eligibility for children with disabilities and delays. Case manages and provides specialized instruction based on Individual Education Programs (IEP) to these children. Attends meetings and provides consultation, collaboration, and support to classroom teams, therapists, and outside agencies. The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description . Develops, implements, monitors, and documents specific goals and objectives for children with disabilities in the inclusive classroom in collaboration with the trans-disciplinary team. Serves as case manager for children with disabilities within the classroom. Provides screening and assessment of children with suspected disabilities or delays. Completes comprehensive assessment reports based on the results of the evaluation in coordination with trans-disciplinary team. Completes ongoing assessment as well as exit assessment. Adheres to state/federal mandates or regulations regarding special education requirements in accordance with IDEA, Wyoming Rules and Regulations and CDS-CC policies for each child under caseload. Attends meetings and provides consultation, collaboration, and support to classroom teams, therapists, outside agencies, Campbell County School District staff/administration, and parents/guardians. Provides direct services outlined in educational plans within an inclusive setting to meet the individual child's needs while working in conjunction with the trans-disciplinary team. Plans activities and interventions for children based on child-directed curriculum by providing age-appropriate activities and ensuring that Individual Education Program (IEP) goals are being addressed. Co-teaches with the early childhood instructor in order to effectively provide Early Intervention Service in an inclusive preschool setting to include, but not limited to, lesson plans, parent-teacher conferences, classroom design, etc. Maintains case notes, progress reports and any other necessary data to ensure accountability in accordance with IDEA, Wyoming Rules and Regulations and CDS-CC policies. Attends and participates in staff meetings and related activities. Attends workshops, conferences, and classes to increase professional knowledge. Serves on committees as assigned. Performs related duties as required.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field One (1) to three (3) years of experience with individuals with disabilities and/or early childhood education Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities

Required Licenses or Certifications:

Class C driver's license PTSB license with an

Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement Knowledge of:

English grammar, spelling, and punctuation Principles and practices of basic bookkeeping Modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment Early childhood development Special Education strategies, adaptations and modifications, and technology Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Administration of standardized assessments Skill in: Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships Performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature Performing basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios Communication, both oral and written Conflict resolution Ability to: Meet schedules and deadlines of the work Understand and carry out oral and written directions Accurately organize and maintain paper documents and electronic files Maintain the confidentiality of information and professional boundaries Develop comprehensive and accurate reports Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals
