Building Substitute Teacher Westport Day School Wilton, CT Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description The Westport Day School (www.westportdayschool.org) is a private, therapeutic school (grades 6 through 12) in Fairfield County for students struggling with anxiety and depression. Mindfulness and empathy are core principles. Working conditions at WDS are excellent, class size is small (N < 8), and colleagues are highly supportive. We are currently looking for a building sub to work the hours of 8:00-3:00 Monday-Friday. This person will need to cover any classes that a teacher cannot attend due to absences or PPT student meetings. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for classroom management, delivering the lessons left for you by the regular teacher, and leaving feedback about how the day progressed. Should a teacher not need coverage, this person will be supporting other teachers within the classroom and helping students as they need it.
