Job Description

Looking for a meaningful contract position supporting students and staff across multiple school sites near Wilmington, DE? This role offers the chance to make a daily impact as a floater paraprofessional, providing essential classroom and student support in a variety of educational settings. Available assignments span elementary, middle, and high schools, with full-time guaranteed hours during school weeks.
Key Qualifications:
Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit requiredmust be obtained prior to start. Successful candidates must agree to obtain $85 CBC fingerprinting. Adaptability to float between assigned schools as needed within the district. Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support role is strongly preferred. Excellent reliability and a flexible approach to scheduling and changing needs. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with educators and students. If credentialed as an RBT, outside BCBA supervision is required to maintain certification.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as assigned. Assist teachers with classroom activities, instruction, and behavioral management. Travel as a floater to various school locations within the district, supporting coverage needs due to staff absences or increased demand. Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment. Support students social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs throughout the day.
Position Highlights:
Hours guaranteed up to 35 per week during full school weeks; minimum 30 hours guaranteed. Flexible schedule based on weekly assignments, with primary shifts during school hours.
