Job Description

The Halifax Elementary School (HES) is seeking qualified candidates for a Long Term Substitute grade 1 teacher (1.0 FTE) for an assignment expected to begin on or around early November 2026 and through the end of February 2026.

This is a 1th grade teaching position at HES, a kindergarten - grade 6 school.

A successful candidate should:

be licensed to teach grade 1. collaborate effectively with other staff members.

be willing to take part in professional development and attend faculty meetings.

communicate with families.

seamlessly transition to the role in the absence of the primary educator.

Salary is a daily rate of $324.02 beginning on day 1.
