Position Summary:
Our K-12 public schools are looking for passionate and dedicated paraprofessionals to support our dynamic students. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, and achievement
Guide and support students in reading, language arts, mathematics, computer use, and other skills
Work with students individually, in small groups, or whole class to reinforce instruction and implement programs
Assist with administering and grading classroom assignments, tests, and assessments
Help prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills tailored to individual student needs
Maintain records to track student performance and learning
Support behavioral management to ensure a safe and orderly classroom
Supervise students in non-instructional areas such as lunch, bus arrival/dismissal, playground, hallways, and study halls
Prepare classroom materials as directed by the teacher
Assist with parent communication as requested by the teacher
Participate in the IEP process and provide input as a member of the student support team
Support students with daily living activities, including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, especially when supporting students with special needs
Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information at all times
Encourage student independence, self-esteem, and social-emotional growth
Provide classroom coverage/substitute when needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of inclusive education and support for diverse learners
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to implement teacher-directed instructional and behavioral strategies .
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or minimum 48 college credits preferred
