Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is a tuition-free public charter academy, providing an academically challenging program in a safe, structured environment. A per diem substitute teacher steps in on a day-to-day, as-needed basis to cover classes when a regular teacher is absent.
Job Summary Role Type:
Temporary, on-call, or day-to-day.
Reports To:
Building Principal or Substitute Coordinator.
Primary Goal:
Keep the classroom safe, orderly, and learning-focused while the regular teacher is away.
Instruction:
Follow and execute lesson plans left by the regular teacher. Teach subject matter and guide student activities.
Classroom Management:
Maintain discipline, positive behavior, and a productive environment. Enforce school rules and safety guidelines.
Administrative Tasks:
Take attendance, grade assignments if requested, and secure classroom materials. Leave a summary note for the returning teacher.
Supervision:
Monitor students during non-class times like lunch, recess, or study halls as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Associate's Degree or higher
Clearance:
Passing criminal background checks and fingerprinting.
Skills:
Strong communication, adaptability, and basic computer proficiency.
