Compensation $17.00-$22.10 per hour Job Overview Penquis is hiring On-Call/Substitute staff to support Child Development programs in several communities. This flexible substitute educator role is designed for candidates who want classroom experience while helping children in Early Head Start, Head Start, and child care settings. Responsibilities Welcome children and help them settle into the classroom environment. Assist with classroom and playground supervision, daily activities, and light cleaning duties. Maintain the confidentiality of client files and information. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and up to 12 months of experience. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to meet Penquis background-check requirements upon hire and periodically thereafter, with satisfactory results as required by current contract provisions. Additional Details Program Locations On-call substitute staff are needed in Dover-Foxcroft, Bangor, Brewer, Millinocket, and Rockland.
