Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire young minds and make a meaningful impact as a General Education Teacher in a supportive elementary classroom for the remainder of the school year. Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification for Elementary Education (General Education). Demonstrated experience and passion for instructing young students in a diverse setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues. Ability to deliver lesson plans effectively and adapt to the needs of individual learners. Skilled in classroom management with a nurturing, positive approach.
Responsibilities:
Provide engaging, standards-based instruction to a class of 19 second-grade students. Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment. Implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs. Monitor and assess student progress, preparing reports and communicating with parents or guardians as required. Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to enhance the educational experience. Participate in required school functions and professional development.
Role Details:
Contract position for the remainder of the school year. Classroom capped at 28 students - current class size of 19 for optimal attention. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:35 a.m. to 3:28 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch, totaling 32.5 hours per week. Located in a welcoming elementary school near Warren, Michigan. Compensation for this assignment will be an hourly rate of $78.00.
