Long Term Sub/Paraprofessional Job Description:

Under general supervision, assists teaching staff in providing individual and group instruction, including developing and maintaining records and instructional materials. Incumbent performs related work as required. To work closely with the classroom teachers and under their supervision, plan and present instructionally appropriate individual and small group instruction, collect student data and follow the directions and supervisory advice of the teachers and administrative team. Essential Elements of the

Job:

Lesson planning, with the help of the classroom teacher, for individual and small group instruction, which include Nevada Academic Content Standards, essential questions, questioning and engagement activities, as well as formative and summative assessments. Teach individual and small group lessons and provide individual student support for academics and behavior. Provide feedback to teachers about student performance and maintain grades for assignments and assessments. Develop relationships with all students and maintain a progressive discipline system for each student. Participate in family events at the school. Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

AA or higher

Nevada Substitute License Salary:

$20.00-$22.00 an hour
