Substitute teachers are critical to the success of the school and students. We are currently hiring now for substitute teachers across various disciplines for the 26-27 school year. In this role you will create engaging learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social potential. Demonstrates proficiency and value added collaboration when engaging with professional learning teams & model a work ethic characterized by diligence, persistence and dedication.

Core work:

Creates engaging, mission-centered lesson plans Monitoring behavior and thoroughly aware of the classroom and building environment. Design coherent instruction that engages students throughout the entire lesson cycle Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness. Teach science classes at a proficient level based upon the Ohio Department of Education standards of professional practice. Maintain appropriate licensure and training hours as required. Comply with applicable state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations. Adheres to the Ohio Educators Standards, ethical professional practices.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred State Department of Education licensure in content area Supports our Catholic Identity as a faith based school Preferred experience: 3+ years of relevant, high-school teaching experience. Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred

Student Supervision/Interaction:

Adhere to the Decree on Child Protection requirements. Complete monthly required Bulletin trainings per VIRTUS Child Protection standards. All employees must consider themselves supervisors of students at all times. This position is temporary and will end at the conclusion of the 26-27 academic year.
