Job Description
Position:
Long-Term Substitute Junior High Math Teacher Location:
Mathews Junior High School
Qualifications:
Prior experience teaching junior high school mathematics or completing student teaching in a junior high environment is preferred.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging math lessons adhering to the State of Ohio Learning Standards for math and Algebra II.
Maintain a safe, positive and productive learning environment that fosters mutual respect and academic growth for each student.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs, abilities and learning styles of all students.
Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents and school administration regarding academic progress and behavioral concerns.
Must have a valid Ohio teaching license/certification and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education or closely related field is preferred.
Salary:
$130 per day
