Building-Based Substitute Teacher Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence (ACE) Beaufort, South Carolina $120 per day Apply Through ESS https://jobs.willsubplus.com/jobs?districtIds=206&selectedJobPostingId=8207 Position Overview Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence (ACE) is seeking a reliable and student-focused Building-Based Substitute Teacher to join our team. The building-based substitute will report to ACE each school day and provide coverage for teachers and other staff as needed. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with high school students, building relationships, and being part of a hands-on Career and Technical Education environment. Key Responsibilities Report to ACE each morning and receive daily assignments. Cover classes for absent teachers and staff as needed. Follow teacher lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment. Supervise and support students in classrooms, labs, hallways, cafeteria, and other areas of the school. Assist students with classroom assignments and activities. Support ACE teachers and staff with daily student needs. Maintain appropriate classroom management and student safety. Follow all school policies and maintain student confidentiality. Report attendance, discipline, safety concerns, and other issues to the appropriate administrator. Perform other duties as assigned by the administration. Qualifications & Skills Enjoy working with high school students. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Dependable, flexible, and willing to work with students in a variety of CTE programs. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff. Previous experience working in a school, trade, industry, or educational setting is a plus. Requirements Must meet Beaufort County School District and South Carolina requirements for substitute teachers. Background check and required district/state credentialing. 33 or more college credits preferred. Experience in a skilled trade, technical field, education, or related area is a plus.
