Job Summary Job Summary Under supervision of the Superintendent/Principal or designee, a special education instructional assistant (Level 2) will assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction and necessary support to individual students or small groups of students with moderate to severe special needs. Individuals will assist children with meeting the goals and objectives of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP), attend to the physical and health needs of students; monitor and report student progress regarding educational performance. A Special Education instructional assistant will also perform a variety of clerical and supportive duties related to classroom activities, including collected data as directed, and classroom management.
