• The
• School Aide
• supports students who require instructional, behavioral, personal-care, or mobility assistance. Under the direction of the special education department, teacher, or supervising designee, the School Aide helps students access their educational program and may assist with therapeutic or physical-care needs as directed by licensed professionals.
• ?? Responsibilities
• + Provide instructional and behavioral support under teacher/special education supervision + Assist students with personal care, mobility, and
• daily living skills
• + Support therapeutic activities as directed by SLP, OT, PT, or other health professionals + Maintain confidentiality and follow all professional standards + Support students across school environments (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.)
• ?? Minimum Requirements
• + High School diploma or equivalent + Compliance with all professional standards of practice +
• Current CPR
• (if applicable) +
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray
• (if applicable) +
• Current health certificate
• (per contract/state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be
• 18 years of age or older
