In addition to standard Intervention Assistant job duties, Job duties for Special Education IA substitute positions may include the following: - Assist students with personal hygiene and grooming as required; assist students with eating activities; assist children with toileting, diapering and changing those who have experienced toileting accidents; assist students with performing and developing self-help and social skills. - Utilize a variety of assistive devices and mobility related equipment including toileting chairs, changing tables, visual aids, wheelchairs and other related augmentative equipment; assist students with operating assistive technology for student related service equipment; facilitate effective communication for students using assistive language technology.
