We are looking for dedicated individual to join our Early Childhood Education team as Associate Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of children while supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and care. What we're looking for in the ideal candidate: Has 12 semester units ECE/CD, with a grade C or better, or CDA Credential or CTC. Units must consist of the following core classes: Child Growth & Development Child, Family & Community, or Child & Family Relations ECE/CD Programs/Curriculum courses For positions in our Infant/Toddler classroom, candidates must have 3 units of Infant/Toddler courses. Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher at the time of hire; candidates who do not possess the permit must qualify for and submit an application for the permit within 60 days of their start date. Has 6 months related experience with children ages 0-5 years of age. Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver's license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. As an Associate Teacher you will: Provide care and education for children ages 0-5, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience. Collaborate with the Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities. Assume the responsibilities of a Teacher in their absence, guiding and supporting instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers. Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children. Assist in planning and executing educational activities that promote child development. Participate in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play. Assist with bus supervision, ensuring the safety and engagement of children during transportation. Complete pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within the first 30 days of hire. Complete 16 hours of training on preventative health practices and nutrition, as required by Health and Safety Code within the first 30 days of hire.
