9613185-93501 Job Description This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to make a meaningful difference in a school setting near Mojave, CA. This is a 1:1 support role, working closely with an 11th-grade student who is currently learning Braille at a first-grade proficiency level. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the students educational and developmental goals throughout the full school year. With the academic year beginning in just two weeks, we are seeking someone who is ready to step in urgently and commit to a consistent schedule of 25 hours per week (5 hours daily).

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Prior experience as a Paraprofessional in a school environment, especially in 1:1 support roles Basic understanding of Braille, or willingness to learn alongside the student Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with educators and the students support team High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification as a Paraprofessional is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to an 11th-grade student learning Braille Support the students academic tasks and help reinforce Braille instruction Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt learning materials and strategies Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
