Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED, supplemented by training or course work in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology, or closely related field.
  • One year of experience working with students of various age levels requiring a specialized learning environment. Experience in working with orthopedically handicapped students is desirable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification approved by the American Heart Association or Red Cross. This may be attained at time of employment.

  • Possess a valid and appropriate California driver's license and qualify for insurability with the District's insurance carrier.
  • Pass the NCLB
  • VVUSD District Exam.

  • VVUSD exam within the last three years, attach a copy of your letter indicating passing score of 75%. (Testing scores are good for three years from the original testing date.) If you are a current District employee who has passed the NCLB exam, please attach a copy of your letter indicating passing score of 75% and/or NCLB Certificate.
