This full-time contract opportunity is based near Sunnyvale, CA, with hours from 8:10 am to 3:20 pm, Monday through Friday. Key Qualities and Experience:

Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Familiarity supporting students with diverse learning needs, including self-contained and mainstream classrooms Ability and willingness to offer one-on-one or small group academic support Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Compassion, patience, and adaptability when assisting students Must be reliable, proactive, and eager to help every learner succeed

Primary Duties:

Support classroom teachers by providing direct assistance to students according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and learning plans Work collaboratively with faculty to create an engaging, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Assist with classroom activities, behavior management, and academic interventions Help deliver specialized academic instruction for higher-functioning students, as directed by instructional staff Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the instructional team Foster independent skills in students and encourage active participation in lessons If you have a passion for helping students thrive, the ability to adapt your support based on individual needs, and a desire to play a vital role in a schools learning community, wed love to connect.
