Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long Term Substitute Classroom Paraeducator to support the educational needs of students in the SSC Program at Johnson Elementary School. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and assisting teachers in delivering effective instruction. The successful candidate will work closely with students, providing individualized support and ensuring a safe and productive classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand concepts and complete assignments.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to promote a positive learning environment.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the educational mission of the school. Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in education or child development is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and development.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to varying classroom situations.
• Must pass background checks and comply with school district policies and procedures.
