Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a classroom support role is highly valued Ability to foster positive, nurturing relationships with children and adolescents Skilled at assisting students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring academic, social, or behavioral support Strong communication and active listening skills Patience, adaptability, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in education or special needs support are a plus Must pass background checks and any district-required clearances

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct classroom assistance, working one-on-one or in small groups with students under the supervision of certified teachers Support students with assignments, classroom activities, and behavior management Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet students individual needs Help create an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere Assist with documenting student progress and communicating feedback to teaching staff Participate in staff meetings, and collaborate with teachers and other support professionals Assist with supervision of students during transitions, meals, and other non-instructional periods This contract position is perfect for individuals highly committed to student development and team collaboration.
