We are looking for a dependable, enrgetic, and caring Preschool Assistant Teacher who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping young children grow. Job Summary We are looking for a qualified Preschool Assistant Teacher who works alongside the Lead Teacher to create a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and curriculum development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and facilitating age-appropriate activities that promote social skills and emotional regulation. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, snacks/meals, and transitions. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety regulations. Help prepare classroom materials, learning centers, child-directed experiences, help with snack distribution and lunches. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere. Work as part of a fun and supportive teaching team. Work between the hours of 8:30am-12:30pm Monday-Friday. Closed school holidays, following Manatee County School District calendar. Qualifications Previous preschool or childcare experience. DCF 45 hours and Exams Level II background screening will be conducted through Florida's Background Screening Clearinghouse Knowledge of early childhood development principles CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and create an inclusive classroom environment Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
