Job Description

Paraprofessional Location:

Wildflower Academy | Sebring, FL Part-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM | $15.00/hour About Us Wildflower Academy, is a is a private PreK-8 school serving students with developmental differences. Our classrooms use ABA-based methods to help every child grow academically, socially, and behaviorally in a structured, supportive setting. Position Summary The Paraprofessional works with the lead teacher to support students one-on-one and in small groups. This role helps carry out lesson plans, behavior plans, and daily routines, so each student can participate and progress. Key Responsibilities Support students individually and in small groups during instruction, transitions, and activities Follow and carry out behavior intervention plans and classroom strategies as directed by the teacher and clinical team Reinforce positive behavior and help students build communication, social, and independence skills Help with daily routines, including arrival, dismissal, meals, and personal care as needed Keep students safe and supervised at all times, including during recess and specials Collect and record data on student progress and behavior accurately Prepare classroom materials and keep the learning space organized Communicate observations to the lead teacher and team professionally and confidentially Model patience, respect, and a calm, positive approach with every student

Qualifications Required:

Experience working with children High school diploma or GED Ability to pass a Florida Level 2 background screening Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Physically able to keep up with active students, including bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 lbs

Preferred:

Experience with children with autism or other developmental differences Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or ABA experience CPR/First Aid certification Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation Pay:

$15.00 per hour

Schedule:
