Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team! In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster early childhood development, promote positive behavior, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and early childhood development. Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure safety and positive behavior. Engage children in educational activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and learning through play. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with educational regulations and health standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong home-school connections. Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for students. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance under supervision. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom behavior management, and educational compliance standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Familiarity with special education strategies, tutoring, mentoring, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained upon hire. Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while maintaining a safe environment for all children. Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support instructional activities. Demonstrated understanding of early childhood education best practices and experience working within private school settings is advantageous. Join us in shaping the future by inspiring young minds!
