In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in delivering engaging early childhood education, ensuring each child's developmental needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing while maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment. Engage children through interactive activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns to foster strong home-school relationships. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for every child. Maintain classroom records, attendance logs, and activity documentation accurately and confidentially. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to supervise children effectively and compassionately. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children alike. Ability to follow safety procedures diligently, including mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Pay:
From $12.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
