Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Head Start Teacher Assistant to join our early education team. As a teacher assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom. The teacher assistant aids in lesson execution, daily routines, sanitation, individual child support, and supervision to fulfill Head Start Performance Standards and DCFS requirements. Must work collaboratively with the lead teacher and all other program staff.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED & one of the following: An active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development OR enrollment in a program leading to an Associate or Bachelor's degree in ECE Must meet all applicable Head Start, state licensing, and onboarding employment requirementsPay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
