Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our educators in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our students. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in the care and education of young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality childcare and education to preschool-aged children in a daycare setting.
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • Engage in play-based learning activities, encouraging social skills, creativity, and curiosity.
  • Support the development of literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring the health and well-being of all students.
  • Assist with daily routines, such as mealtime, naptime, and toileting.
  • Provide first aid and infant care when needed.
  • Build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or school administration.
Skills:
  • High-School Diploma
  • Experience working with students, preferably in early childhood education.
  • Strong caregiving skills, with experience in childcare or nannying.
  • Familiarity with infant care and first aid procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to communicate with children, parents, and educators.
  • Organizational and time management skills to ensure a smooth classroom environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience babysitting or working in a daycare setting is a plus.
