In this vital role, you will support classroom activities, assist with curriculum implementation, and collaborate closely with lead teachers to foster a positive learning experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in early childhood education while making a meaningful impact on children's growth and development. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons that promote literacy, math, social skills, and emotional development. Support classroom management by helping maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for children of various abilities. Engage children in educational activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, including toddler care and preschool exercises. Help with curriculum development and adapt lesson plans to meet individual needs, including those of children with autism or disabilities. Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's social-emotional growth and conflict resolution. Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress, document developmental milestones, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians. Assist in maintaining classroom cleanliness, safety protocols, and educational materials to ensure a productive learning space. Skills Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool teaching. Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool experience and toddler care. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for diverse learners. Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy education, math, and overall preschool activities. Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other disabilities; experience supporting inclusive classrooms is a plus. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff clearly and professionally. Technical proficiency in educational tools or software used for lesson planning or student tracking. $16.00 - $17.25 per hour
