Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant daycare team as a Teachers Assistant/Aid, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in implementing educational activities, supervising children, and ensuring their well-being. Your positive energy and commitment to early childhood development will inspire growth and curiosity in every child you care for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in child supervision, classroom management, and early education practices. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care needs. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid guidelines, and mandated reporting laws. Support children with special needs or developmental delays by implementing individualized care plans under supervision. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving role is highly preferred. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood First Aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Previous experience in daycare center settings or preschool environments will help you succeed in this role. Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration are necessary to thrive here. Must have GED or high school diploma
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
