Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience working as a Paraprofessional or in a similar school-based support position Ability to effectively assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Flexibility and adaptability in diverse classroom environments High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in education is a plus A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine passion for helping students succeed
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic support and one-on-one assistance to students as directed by the classroom teacher Help implement positive behavior strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs) as appropriate Assist in preparing classroom materials, setting up learning spaces, and organizing activities Supervise students during classroom instruction, transitions, lunch, and recess periods Promote an inclusive, respectful learning environment where every student feels valued Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure student needs are met consistently This contract role offers the flexibility to gain valuable school experience, make a real difference for students, and build your educational career in a setting that appreciates your skills and dedication.
