Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher Assistant to join our Christian based, immersion educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for children both with ASD and those who do not. The two openings are for a preschool/Pre-k classroom and a Kindergarten classroom. The role will be M-F and be 30 hours a week. Responsibilities Create a Christ like learning environment for the children. Helping implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Utilize early intervention strategies to support students who may require additional assistance. Incorporate gross and fine motor, as well as physical education activities into the curriculum, to promote health and wellness among students. Help manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good conduct. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of both typical students and students with special education requirements. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that reflects Christian principles. Able to work as a team player following ques from the lead teacher, but also being able to lead groups of children as directed or needed. Perform Potty training duties and pull-up changes. Qualifications Experience in early childhood education or special education is preferred Strong knowledge of classroom management techniques, and child development principles preferred. Ability to implement lesson plans that accommodate various learning needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues. A passion for educating young children and a commitment to their overall well-being.
