Job Title:
Math Interventionist Instructional Assistant Position Summary The Math Interventionist Instructional Assistant provides targeted academic support to high school students who need additional assistance in mathematics. Working under the direction of licensed teachers and school administrators, the instructional assistant delivers small-group and one-on-one interventions, monitors student progress, and helps students develop the skills and confidence necessary to achieve Indiana Academic Standards and graduation requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide supplemental math instruction to students identified as needing intervention in Algebra, Geometry, and other high school mathematics courses. Implement evidence-based intervention strategies and instructional programs as directed by certified teachers. Assist in administering diagnostic, benchmark, and progress-monitoring assessments. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, intervention activities, and academic progress. Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify student needs and adjust intervention strategies. Reinforce classroom instruction through individualized and small-group tutoring. Support students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Utilize educational technology and online learning platforms to enhance instruction. Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Communicate student progress with teachers, counselors, and administrators as appropriate. Assist with classroom management and supervision during intervention periods. Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required. Perform other duties assigned by the principal or designee. Qualifications Required Two years from an Accredited College OR Successful Completion of Para-Professional Assessment Test.
