Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to support students' learning and development in a nurturing environment. This role is essential in providing individualized attention and assistance to students, particularly those with diverse learning needs. The Paraprofessional will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive classroom atmosphere and enhancing the overall educational experience for all students. Responsibilities Establishes and maintains a positive rapport with students, staff and families. Ability to read, analyze and interpret teacher and related staff directions and follow through with instructions. Ability to work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning. Ability to assist with supervision of students within the classroom or during arrival, dismissal, or recess. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and accurately communicate information in a timely manner with supervising teacher, staff and administration. Ability to be a positive role model and consistently follow through with positive behavior supports in all educational settings. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of licenses teachers and directs family communications to appropriate licensed personnel. Ability to assist with coverage of classes when the teacher or substitutes are not available. Willingness to be a team member that is flexible, open to ongoing professional development and can positively accept change on behalf of student or program improvement. Additional duties which may be assigned by the school principal. Skills High School Diploma and passing score on Paraprofessional Assessment or 60 college credits Demonstrate a genuine concern for the learning of children. Strong Organizational Skills. Knowledge of entry level employment positions. Ability to provide care for toddlers and support their developmental needs. Excellent communication and team skills.
