Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar educational support role preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage elementary-age students Patient, reliable, and flexible with daily tasks Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 support to a 3rd grade student during school hours Facilitate communication and classroom participation using ASL Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement student-specific strategies Assist with academic work, social skills, and daily routines Encourage independence and self-advocacy for the student Participate in professional development and regular team meetings as needed This position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm (with an early release on Wednesdays until 3:15 pm).
