Job Overview As an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher, you'll help create a safe, welcoming classroom where young children can learn through play, explore, and build confidence. You'll support teaching activities, classroom management, and childhood development while working closely with the lead teacher, families, and students with varied learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Provide support and guidance to students in their learning activities
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Help students with literacy education, including reading, writing, and language development
• Assist in the care and supervision of toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other teaching assistants to ensure effective communication and teamwork

Skills:

• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum development for early childhood education
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning environment Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Must be comfortable transitioning between sitting on the floor and standing, reaching, dancing, able to move quickly.
